1. Technology Forecasting
Understand and apply the technology forecasting techniques. Participants will understand and apply the S-curves, technology road-mapping to determine the discontinuity and continuity of technological advances. Other techniques such as Delphi and Scenario Planning may also be covered.
2. Intellectual Property
Understand the basics of intellectual properties such as patent, trademarks and copyrights. Participants will also learn the intellectual properties strategies with detailed understanding of patent documents and the use of invention disclosure. The use of IP landscaping in new product development will also be introduced.
3. Innovation Strategies
Understand innovations and its application to enterprises in different context. Participants will learn and apply different innovation typologies; including the sustaining and disruptive innovations; modular and architectural innovations, incremental and radical innovation. The concept of open innovation and crowd innovations will also be introduced.
4. Technology Commercialization
Understand the transfer and commercialization of technology from research & academic institutions to companies. Participants will understand the role of technology transfer offices and their interests, the due diligence process, term sheets and negotiation techniques forwards a win-win partnership.
5. Business Development
Understand and apply the process of developing and growing new businesses in strategic context. Participants will learn strategic intent organization, preform gap analysis & opportunity identifications, and develop the core competency map, and develop strategies growth strategies such as new product development, geographical expansion, mergers and acquisitions.
